Job Title: Senior Research Scientist – Global Agrochemical Company

Contract: 24 months

Salary: £24 per hour

SRG is working with a global Agrochemical company seeking a Senior Research Scientist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of industrial experience.

The Microscopy team within the Bioscience function in Crop Protection conducts research on structural studies and phenotyping related to active ingredients. The team supports all stages of product development, focusing on understanding critical performance characteristics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide scientific and technical support in Microscopy, performing studies using Fluorescence or electron microscopy.
• Proficient with microscopy techniques (fluorescence and electron-based).
• Perform operational tasks as prioritized by the Science Leader.
• Interpret and analyze data, presenting conclusions in reports and presentations.
• Implement HSE actions to ensure safety standards are met.
• Qualifications: BSc or MSc (preferred) or PhD with microscopy and bioimaging experience.
• At least 2 years of laboratory-based professional or academic experience.
• Effective scientific writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills in English.
• Desirable: Experience imaging plant or insect materials with optical and electron microscopy.
• Desirable: Experience with a range of techniques including fluorescence and electron microscopes.
• Desirable: Sample handling and preparation for microscopy.
• Desirable: Proficiency in image analysis tools for data storage, reporting, and image processing.
• Desirable: Experience in analyzing and interpreting results.
• Desirable: Running automated workflows using HPF or AFS.
