Job description

Senior Research Scientist - ML/Data
We’re seeking a Senior Researcher to join our Data and Decision Support Capability within the Advanced Information Processing (AIP) group, focusing on developing novel inference algorithms and applying AI/ML to time-series data and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning and/or statistical signal processing, excellent Python skills, and experience with relevant development libraries.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical delivery and mentor junior researchers

  • Produce technical reports, proposals, and presentations

  • Conduct novel research, often with academic or industrial partners

  • Build prototypes and proof-of-concept demos

  • Manage tasks independently and within teams

  • Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Support IP generation through patents and publications

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field

  • Strong background in AI/ML or statistical signal processing applied to time-series data and decision-making

  • Proficient in Python for prototyping

  • Hands-on experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
