Job summary

Cedar Technology in London is recruiting a Senior Research Scientist to lead quantitative studies using Python, R and AI. Hybrid role, combining scientific rigour with practical data science and tool development for healthcare analytics.

You will work with leadership and engineering teams to develop methodologies, manage large datasets and publish scientific findings that inform real-world healthcare outcomes.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research experience in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years end-to-end quantitative research experience.
• Advanced Python and/or R for statistical analysis.
• Experience with large, complex datasets and reproducible methods.
• Familiarity with modern data science workflows and collaboration with tech teams.
• Experience applying LLMs or generative AI to research workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute rigorous statistical analyses across large datasets.
• Develop analytical methodologies and measurement frameworks for population-scale research.
• Analyse survey and behavioural data to extract actionable insights.
• Build reproducible analytical workflows and data processing solutions in Python/R.
• Explore AI-enabled analytics to improve research workflows and accessibility.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams using Databricks and Azure.
• Contribute to peer-reviewed publications and validation studies.
• Translate complex findings into interactive tools and data products.
