About the Role

In this role as a Senior Research Engineer, you will:

• Develop and Deliver: Apply modern software development practices to be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, building, testing, and delivering high-quality solutions.
• Build Scalable ML Solutions: Create large-scale data processing pipelines to help researchers build and train novel machine learning algorithms. Develop high-performing, scalable systems in large online delivery environments.
• Be a Team Player: Share information, value diverse ideas, and collaborate with cross-functional and remote teams in a team-oriented environment.
• Be an Agile Person: Work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to deliver timely solutions.
• Be Innovative: Try new approaches, learn new technologies, contribute ideas, create solutions, and be accountable for end-to-end deliveries.

About You:

You are a good fit if your background includes:

Essential skills & experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience, ideally in machine learning and natural language processing
• Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with other programming languages and ecosystems
• Ability to understand, apply, and deploy machine learning capabilities and techniques
• Experience with Python data science libraries such as Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, scikit-learn
• Commitment to writing clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Desire to learn and embrace new and emerging technologies
• Understanding of probabilistic models and the mathematical concepts underpinning machine learning
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Preferred skills & experience:

• Experience integrating machine learning solutions into production software and understanding of ModelOps and MLOps principles
• Proficiency in automation, system monitoring, and cloud-native applications, with familiarity in AWS or Azure
• Previous exposure to NLP problems, including tasks like NER, Information Extraction, and Retrieval
• Ability to translate between research and engineering language and methodologies
• Experience deploying machine learning solutions into production environments
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure
