About The Role
We at PEI Group are looking for a Senior Research Associate, Surveys to join our welcoming, diverse and growing team in London. The successful candidate will be a part of a global team, responsible for the research and maintenance of online intelligence services covering alternative asset classes and will play a key role in survey-based research activities.
The role demands high levels of self-motivation, first-rate organisational skills, excellent verbal and written communication, strong excel and data management skills and an analytical and driven mindset. A keen eye for detail is also essential to ensure that we maintain accuracy and a high quality of output.
The Senior Research Associate is primarily engaged in the following activities:
Research:
- Build complex surveys according to briefs from different internal departments, making sure questions are well written and survey functionality is optimised.
- Lead on post-event survey process and confidently advise on best format of data collection.
- Assemble survey contact lists by selecting relevant respondents and compose and track corresponding email campaigns and response rates.
- Ensure survey respondent quality remains high, screening contact lists for relevance, duplicates and low-quality responses.
- Confidently manipulate, analyse and extract trends from survey data in excel.
- Develop an overall awareness of all research activity at PEI, with a particular focus on the types of survey-based projects conducted across the business.
- The balance of the above tasks, along with other duties, will vary.
Knowledge:
- Maintain an excellent knowledge of alternative assets.
- Develop a deep understanding of the different teams at PEI and their research requirements.
- Demonstrate best-practice techniques in contributing to survey projects.
- Experience working with survey software (highly preferred).
Key relationships:
- The Senior Research Associate will work within the larger Research and Analytics team within the London office.
- Build relationships with editorial, sales, events, network and marketing staff members across offices where necessary.
Key success measures:
- Managing time extremely well, meeting agreed deadlines and working well under pressure.
- Demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and exceptional adaptability in their work.
- Maintenance of an enthusiastic and positive attitude towards work.
- Building a range of surveys efficiently and to a high standard.
About You
Requirements
The role would suit individuals with;
- Highly developed research skills.
- High levels of self-motivation.
- The ability or willingness to learn the dynamics of the private markets industry to have informed conversations about market data.
- Experience within a research role or working with surveys (highly preferred).
- Demonstrated attention to detail and patience so that work is completed on time and to the required standard.
- Confidence in multitasking and strong time management skills are also essential.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
- Be inquisitive and have a proactive, methodological and enthusiastic approach to work.
- The ability to work on one’s own initiative whilst maintaining close and effective relationships with others in the team and company is needed.
