The University of Bristol invites applications for a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate in Control for Soft Robot Wearable Assistance to develop novel control methods for wearable soft robotics. Qualifications

  • Near completion of a PhD in mechanical/electronic/robotic engineering or related field.

  • Ability to publish high-quality research and contribute to dissemination.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration across electrical, mechanical and materials domains.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake fundamental and applied research on control of artificial muscle-driven wearables.
  • Collaborate with multi-institute team to develop wearable assistive tech.
  • Conduct experiments, build prototypes, and analyse data.
  • Produce publications, conference talks, and demonstrator devices.
  • Engage with healthcare professionals and industrial partners on project activities.
