This position reports to the Team leader Senior Scientist and is part of the Protein development platform department, located in Cambridge (UK). This is a lab-based role (on site). At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform Sequencing to support our Antibody development platform.
  • Perform Biophysical QC, including but not limited to Mass Spectrometry and HPLC.
  • Assist in developing and optimizing our Sequencing and Biophysical QC processes.
The essential requirements of the job include:
  • A BSc and/or MSc in a Life Sciences subject.
  • 2 plus years of hands-on experience in Sequencing (Sanger and/or NGS) or Biophysical QC.
  • Excellent attention to detail with good organizational skills.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Protein Expression & Purification.
  • Performing to high quality standards within the lab; ensuring the lab is compliant with all external and internal quality standards, and compliance with all health and safety guidelines.
