Job Description:

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Publishing in-depth insights combining market research and consumer insights.
  • Work with Category Directors to write and publish 8 reports a year covering a variety of consumer markets that demonstrate Mintel’s expertise in related topics.
  • Gather primary and secondary data relevant to each market, and work with Category Directors to develop accurate market, company, and segmentation data.
  • Design consumer research that can produce meaningful data reflecting key consumer trends independently.
  • Build relationships with industry contacts to understand the key issues influencing consumers, innovation, and company strategy, identifying the most relevant issues to explore in consumer research.
  • Represent Mintel and deliver client service.
  • Support Category Director to handle client service requests related to the subject field.
  • Support the commercial team to proactively share Mintel’s insights with clients & prospects in data-pull or presentations.
  • Promote Mintel’s brand in the marketplace by supporting marketing and PR activities such as media interviews and webinars.
Who We Are Looking for:
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the beauty and personal care industry (skincare industry is preferred) and proven expertise, working in branding/marketing/digital marketing/insight roles; experience in research, consulting, or data/market intelligence companies working directly with BPC clients is preferred.
  • Strong data analysis skills, logical and critical thinking, and the ability to summarize insights; capable of predicting short to long-term BPC trends based on data analysis and providing meaningful business insights; familiarity with industry research, consumer research, expert interviews, e-commerce data analysis, or social media listening is preferred.
  • Good presentation skills, confidence in sharing or delivering speeches, and ability to respond skillfully to client questions.
  • Good Mandarin writing skills, experience in writing comprehensive reports is preferred; good English reading and writing skills for daily and work communication.
  • Excellent communication skills, willingness to participate in cross-department and cross-team collaboration; rigorous, meticulous, self-driven, with strong pressure resistance, able to deliver high-quality output under time pressure.
  • Strong academic background: full-time bachelor’s degree from 985/211 universities or postgraduate degree in sociology, psychology, marketing, business analysis, or related majors; overseas study or living experience is preferred; MBA degree is a plus.
  • Curiosity about the business world and passion for the beauty care industry are preferred.
