Job summary

Usdaw is recruiting a Senior Research Administrator for the Tesco Team at the Union's Head Office in Salford. The role is fully office-based and supports the Tesco National Officers and Tesco Support Team.

The successful applicant will provide full secretarial and administrative support, demonstrate the ability to prioritise work, and communicate effectively with officials, staff, members and employers. Closing date is noon on 30 September 2026.

Qualifications

• The successful applicant will possess knowledge of the Trade Union Movement and the ability to communicate effectively with officials, staff, members and employers.
• Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and plan and organise effectively.
• Ability to listen actively and work harmoniously with colleagues and small teams; tact and discretion with personal and sensitive information.
• Awareness of providing an effective service to members and external agencies.
