Job Description:

The Role: The purpose of this role is to provide exclusive content on M&A, equity, and debt financing concerning renewables and broader power generation in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The reporter will primarily contribute to ION Analytics’ Infralogic publication and support other group products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Target five exclusive stories weekly on topics such as M&A, financing, personnel moves, fund profiles, corporate strategy, and trend analyses within renewables and power generation sectors.
2. Develop and maintain contacts within the renewables finance community, including investors, corporates, developers, lenders, and advisors.
3. Assist with content creation, panel moderation, and speaking engagements at ION Analytics’ events.
4. Collaborate with the energy editor, senior editors, and colleagues across the group to support content creation for key customer segments.
5. Maintain high standards of copy and ensure compliance with group policies.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

1. Knowledge of the power, energy, and renewables sector with a proven record of reporting exclusives.
2. Minimum five years of reporting experience in a reputable newsroom with global exposure.
3. Proven ability to break news and produce in-depth analyses.
4. Ability to analyze market data and produce reports.
5. Strong network-building skills for sourcing information.
6. Excellent news and analysis writing skills.
