Job summary

Media Contacts Ltd. is seeking a senior reporter to cover breaking deals in real estate, owning a beat and building a deep network among investors and advisers.

You will produce 2–3 news stories daily, blending press releases with exclusive insights and proprietary deal data to drive market coverage. The role focuses on capital deployment, with autonomy to develop sources and provide timely analysis as the real estate market recovers.

Qualifications

• Background covering real estate transactions, as a journalist or from a deal-side role.
• Record of breaking stories and strong news judgement.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, with an existing network across real estate investors, managers and advisers a plus.
• Fast, accurate copy under deadline.

Job description

Join an award-winning newsroom at an established private markets intelligence group as a senior reporter focusing on breaking deals in the real estate market. You will own a beat, with the autonomy to build relationships with senior investors and advisers. More specifically, you will focus on capital deployment. You will be expected to produce 2-3 news stories a day, covering a mix of press releases and proprietary exclusives.

You will be joining a business with a large international footprint that encompasses deal news, a proprietary transactions database and a global events programme. The business is looking to invest in new areas of coverage, and you will be joining at a time when the private real estate market is recovering.
