Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior Rendering Engineer to join our Boston office and work on Cyberpunk 2, the next major installment in the Cyberpunk franchise. In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for developing rendering solutions and optimizations to help designers and artists realize the game’s vision.

Using Unreal Engine 5, you will help shape the future of visual fidelity in our games by collaborating with engineers and artists to bring our titles to life.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain and optimize existing rendering systems.
2. Develop new rendering solutions for complex problems.
3. Collaborate closely with art teams to deliver performant and effective solutions.
4. Bring characters and worlds to life through your rendering expertise.
5. Optimize performance and memory usage.

Qualifications

1. 7+ years of industry experience.
2. Proficiency in C++ and extensive graphics programming experience.
3. Professional knowledge of Unreal Engine, preferably with a shipped title using UE technology.
4. Deep understanding of rendering techniques and GPU/CPU architecture.
5. Experience with multithreaded programming.
6. Experience with low-level graphics APIs such as DirectX12, Vulkan, or console APIs.
7. Familiarity with graphics debugging tools like RenderDoc, Pix, or console-specific tools.
8. Experience with profiling and optimizing graphics performance.
9. Effective communication skills, responsibility, ownership, and dedication.
10. Proactive attitude to help the team work more efficiently.

Nice to Have

• Shipped at least one Unreal-based project.
