Job Overview

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is central to Amazon's commitment to innovation. As a Senior RME Technician, you'll ensure that our tools and technologies operate at peak performance, adopting the latest innovations and improving processes across our network.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure equipment is used safely and monitor team compliance with processes.
2. Track equipment performance via visual checks, condition monitoring, and preventive maintenance, scheduling repairs as needed.
3. Supervise technicians on shift, support their development, and serve as the first contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
4. Resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
5. Contribute to system improvements and standardize processes across the EU network.

Daily Activities

Lead your team during shifts to ensure equipment availability and proper operation, monitor processes with tools like SCADA, and implement improvements. This role involves shift work, including weekends and nights, at our operational sites, with opportunities for career progression.

Team Overview

The RME team maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment across Amazon’s fulfillment centers, working on innovative technologies and ensuring safety and efficiency. Opportunities for advancement are plentiful within the team and Amazon at large.

Minimum Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship and/or NVQ Level 3 or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience in a technical leadership role.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Experience with automation or material handling equipment.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in multi-contractor, multi-site environments.
• Understanding of PLC control systems and compliance standards.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
• Degree in a technical or operational discipline.
