Job summary

MacGregor Black seeks a Lead Reliability Engineer for a leading food manufacturing site. This senior role owns site-wide reliability, asset performance and continuous improvement within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

You will lead the Reliability Engineering team, guide proactive maintenance strategies and collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and Planning to reduce downtime and improve asset availability.

Qualifications

• Background in reliability, maintenance or engineering within FMCG/food manufacturing.
• Experience leading engineering teams or reliability initiatives.
• Strong understanding of CMMS, asset management and engineering performance metrics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership, coaching and influencing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Reliability Engineering team.
• Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies (predictive, condition-based).
• Analyse downtime and equipment data to identify root causes and improvements.
• Drive reliability improvements across the site and with contractors.
• Support planned maintenance, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor metrics like OEE, MTBF and MTTR.
• Lead cross-functional reliability reviews and improvement projects.
• Oversee asset care documentation, PM reviews, calibrations and assessments.
• Identify training needs within the Reliability team.
