Senior Reinsurance Technician Role

This well-established and highly regarded Lloyd’s underwriters offer a friendly, team-oriented, hybrid working environment and a generous benefits package. They are seeking an experienced Reinsurance Technician to manage post-placement activity related to their outwards reinsurance programme.

Main Duties

1. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of outwards reinsurance EOCs on systems.
2. Handling Proportional Reinsurance (facultative and treaty): production, communication, and settlement of statements and bordereaux at contractual intervals, profit commission statements, and collateral statements.
3. Managing Non-proportional reinsurance: production, communication, and transaction of deposit premiums, recoveries & reinstatement premiums, premium adjustments, legal entity allocation, and NCB calculations.
4. Responding promptly to broker/reinsurer queries.
5. Developing less experienced team members.
6. Producing information, including claims data, to support outwards treaty renewals.
7. Reviewing outsourced tasks and liaising with DXC.
8. Testing and implementing new software and processes.
9. Updating process and procedure manuals.
10. Producing management information.
