Job summary

Chaucer seeks a senior professional to provide high-level technical administration and oversight of outwards reinsurance activities for Syndicate 1084 and Chaucer Insurance Company DAC. You will administer complex contracts, manage recoveries and premiums, and ensure timely Lloyd’s reporting while coaching technicians.

Key responsibilities include leading technical calculations, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and driving process improvements within the reinsurance

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in outwards reinsurance operations including excess of loss and facultative business.
• In-depth knowledge of treaty terms and Lloyd’s market operations.
• Experience interpreting complex reinsurance contracts and resolving technical issues.
• Knowledge of Lloyd’s reporting requirements.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer complex outwards reinsurance contracts across excess of loss, proportional and facultative accounts.
• Calculate, issue and monitor reinsurance collection notes per contract terms.
• Complete premium adjustments, profit commissions, NCB and other complex calculations.
• Manage collection and payment of recoveries and premium, and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with month-end/quarter-end close deadlines and Lloyd’s reporting requirements.
• Produce and review bordereaux, renewal information, financial summaries and MI for internal stakeholders.
• Coach technicians, allocate workloads and develop their technical capability.
