Job summary

Chaucer Syndicates Ltd seeks a senior reinsurance administrator to provide technical oversight of outward reinsurance for Lloyd’s Syndicate 1084 and related entities. You will administer complex treaties, support reporting, and collaborate with internal teams, brokers, and auditors to drive accurate, timely operations.

You will oversee contract administration, calculations, and cash movements, while coaching technicians and ensuring regulatory compliance, with a focus on end-to-end reinsurance

Qualifications

• Substantial outwards reinsurance operations experience
• In-depth knowledge of reinsurance practices and contract administration
• Experience interpreting and administering complex reinsurance contracts
• Knowledge of Lloyd’s reporting requirements for outwards reinsurance
• Advanced Excel capability and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping

Responsibilities

• Administer complex outwards reinsurance contracts across excess of loss, proportional and facultative accounts
• Calculate, issue and monitor reinsurance collection notes
• Complete premium adjustments, profit commission and other calculations
• Manage recoveries, premium payments and aged debt
• Ensure compliance with Lloyd’s reporting, month-end/quarter-end close
• Produce risk and claim bordereaux and management information for stakeholders
• Respond to queries from internal teams, brokers, reinsurers and auditors
• Maintain accurate policy and claims records in XL Pro and in-house systems
• Coach technicians and allocate workloads to meet deadlines
• Collaborate across departments to support end-to-end operations
• Contribute to IT and business projects in reinsurance
• Keep aware of market/regulatory changes affecting coverage administration
• Undertake other duties as assigned
