A leading London market insurer is seeking a Senior Regulatory Reporting Accountant to be a key technical resource for Solvency II and Lloyd's reporting. The role involves designing process improvements, leading reporting programs, and managing compliance requirements. Candidates should have a professional accountancy qualification and strong technical accounting skills, especially in UK GAAP and IFRS. Related insurance knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Professional accountancy qualification, preferably ACA or ACCA.
  • Understanding of Solvency II reporting requirements.
  • Highly technical in accountancy skills, especially UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • General commercial and financial knowledge.
  • Insurance and Lloyd's specific knowledge preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop process improvements for regulatory reporting.
  • Lead Solvency II reporting programme finalisation.
  • Co-ordinate Pillar III implementation plan with regular updates.
  • Manage delivery of Lloyd's and Solvency II reporting requirements.
  • Provide technical support for Solvency II and Lloyd's reporting.

Job description

HFG are currently working with a leading London marker insurer in search of their next Senior Regulatory Reporting Accountant. The role will be responsible for being a key Solvency II and Lloyd's technical resource to the business, working both within Finance and across the business, and will have responsibility for all regulatory reporting reviews and technical matters.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the design and development of process improvements to ensure the efficient and accurate production of all regulatory reporting
  • Lead as a subject matter expert during the finalisation of the Solvency II reporting programme ensuring new systems are embedded in BAU
  • Co-ordinate and manage the Pillar III implementation plan (data, processes, reporting, documentation), providing regular updates to all key stakeholders
  • Manage the delivery of all defined Lloyd's and Solvency II reporting requirements including all appropriate internal approvals
  • Provide technical support to the business in relation to Solvency II and Lloyd's reporting
Profile
  • Professional accountancy qualification, preference for ACA/ACCA
