Key Accountabilities.

  • Acting as the key point of contact providing regulatory and technical support
  • Preparing agendas, briefing papers, and minutes for board and technical committees
  • Monitoring UK, EU, Codex and global regulatory developments that affect the food and drink sectors
  • Supporting policy development by analysing scientific and technical documents and gathering insights
  • Liaising with government officials, European sector groups, and specialist policy experts
  • Representing the organisation at external meetings, including travel to Europe

Personal Profile.

  • A degree (or equivalent) in food science or a related field
  • Solid understanding of food safety and regulatory issues
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in regulatory policy
