Job summary

Elevate is seeking an experienced in-house lawyer to provide interim legal support to a global company, advising senior stakeholders on complex regulatory and policy matters across multiple jurisdictions. The role focuses on compliance, public policy, and reputational risk, working with business teams globally.

The successful candidate will have extensive UK PQE, strong regulatory expertise, and the ability to translate complex issues into clear recommendations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years PQE and UK qualification.
• In-house legal experience advising senior stakeholders on UK laws and regulations.
• Experience developing and advocating regulatory and policy positions.
• Strong understanding of the UK legislative and regulatory process.
• Experience coordinating cross-border legal advice across jurisdictions.
• Knowledge of UK consumer protection, ecommerce, and Online Safety Act.
• Experience advising digital/platform businesses on UK law.
• Expertise in UK/EU platform liability regimes is highly desirable.
• Experience with UK short-term rental or planning regulation is desirable.
• Ability to advise on a broad range of matters including commercial, regulatory, competition, data protection, marketing, litigation and payments.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to a global company on an interim basis.
• Act as trusted adviser to senior stakeholders across legal and business teams.
• Coordinate cross-border legal advice and incorporate input from external counsel.
• Manage outside counsel and legal risk on high-impact matters.
• Improve legal processes, policies, and workflows.
