Job summary

Lenovo Global Financial Services (LGFS) seeks a Senior Financial Regulatory Counsel to serve as the dedicated legal expert within LGFS. This permanent, full-time role can be performed primarily remotely, with approximately one day per month in a UK office in Farnborough, Hampshire.

The successful candidate will advise on cross-border financing, asset finance, AML/KYC matters, and regulatory change across multiple jurisdictions, partnering with finance, treasury and compliance teams globally.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or equivalent legal professional in a common-law jurisdiction, with a minimum of 12 years' post-qualification experience specializing in financial regulation, asset finance law or structured finance.
• Experience with banking, captive finance or financial services within regulated environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to draft, structure and negotiate finance and security documents across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience engaging with regulators, licensing bodies or supervisory authorities is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level strategic legal and regulatory advice to LGFS's global leasing, asset-finance and cross-border financing activities.
• Lead regulatory assessments, licensing analysis and market-entry initiatives to support Lenovo's expansion.
• Act as primary legal point of contact for regulators and external counsel across jurisdictions.
• Partner with Compliance on AML, KYC and ABC-related matters as LGFS legal advisor.
• Collaborate with transactional lawyers to structure and negotiate cross-border financing and receivables-funding arrangements.
• Identify regulatory risks and contribute to governance policies and playbooks.
• Lead or support complex commercial negotiations with enterprise customers and financial institutions.
• Drive knowledge-sharing within the LGFS Legal team and improve internal standards.
