Job Title: Senior Registered Nurse (RGN)

Type: Permanent

Salary: £33,208.50 - £35,431.50 per annum + 30% enhancements at weekends

Sanctuary Personnel have exciting career development opportunities for an experienced Senior Registered Nurse at our client's beautiful Neurological Care Centre in Ipswich, Suffolk.

About Our Client

Their specialist neurological care centre, located in Ipswich, is dedicated to providing exceptional care for individuals aged 18 and over with a range of neurological conditions. They focus on optimising health and wellbeing, enhancing independence, and supporting emotional and social needs. Their assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals employ expert neurorehabilitation techniques to improve the lives of those with neurological conditions or brain injuries.

About the Role

As a Senior Nurse, you will lead a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring high standards of holistic care through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will be responsible for performance management of clinical staff, in line with their policies and procedures covering recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal, and discipline.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to team members
  • Demonstrate activities to new or less experienced employees and supervise day-to-day operations
  • Educate service users, carers, families, and colleagues, facilitating learning and sharing knowledge through formal and informal teaching
  • Maintain accurate records of service user consultations in compliance with legislation and policies
  • Apply legal policies to identify vulnerable adults and follow statutory procedures and local guidance
  • Promote and maintain professional development and encourage a learning environment within the workplace
  • Ensure adherence to all organisational policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe working environment to ensure the smooth running of the service
About You
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and influence an effective team in a clinical setting
  • Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector
  • Familiarity with best clinical practices for the client group
  • Demonstrable experience of working independently and being highly motivated
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including delivering difficult messages to service users and their families
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Ability to manage change effectively
  • Capability to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting
  • NMC Registered Nurse with post-registration experience
  • Completion of NMC-accredited mentor training or willingness to undertake
  • Evidence of continued professional development
