Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Meriden Hospital in Coventry is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse for a 22.5-hour week position in the Pre Assessment department. The role includes delivering high-quality nursing care, leading assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for complex patients, and applying advanced clinical knowledge with safe medication administration.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant clinical setting.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care and lead on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients.
• Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely and appropriate decisions, escalating where necessary.
• Administer medication safely and monitor patient response, ensuring adherence to NMC and local protocols.
• Delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring safe and effective workload management across the shift.
• Uphold a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management, and risk reporting procedures.
• Act as a key contact for patients and their families, offering clinical updates, reassurance, and information to support shared decision-making.
