Job Description:

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered general nurse level 1/ Diploma / BSc in Nursing studies.
  • Evidence of relevant clinical professional development, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.
  • Mentorship Qualification (ENB 998 or equivalent).
  • Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability.
  • Excellent clinical knowledge based on evidence and aligned with national best practice standards.
  • Basic workload and shift management skills.
  • Understanding of workload and shift management.
  • Maths and English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems.

Duties of this role include:

  • Maintaining standards of patient care in accordance with operational policies and procedures.
  • Enhancing customer service and satisfaction for service users.
  • Promoting and safeguarding the well-being of Patients, Employees, and Consultants, acting as an advocate, especially to junior team members.
  • Deputising for the Sister/Charge Nurse and leading clinical shifts when appropriate.
  • Providing individualized patient care of the highest standards.
  • Advocating for safeguarding patients and speaking up about concerns.
  • Conducting oneself professionally following NMC and HCPC codes of conduct.
