Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council is seeking a Senior Registered Building Inspector (minimum Class 2C) to strengthen its Building Control team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, safe and sustainable development across the borough, with supervision and development support where needed.

You will work within a dynamic team, maintaining professional competencies, engaging with internal and external partners, and ensuring services meet statutory requirements under the Building Safety

Qualificações

• Class 2A-2F certification with minimum Class 2C required.
• Degree or equivalent in building studies or related construction subject.
• Chartered Corporate Membership level status of RICS, CABE or CIOB.
• Maintain registration as a Class 2C Building Inspector via approved competency scheme.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake restricted functions and restricted activities, as appropriate to competency.
• Carry out other building control related activities as required.
• Work under supervision for activities outside current competency levels to support development.
• Support career progression through supervision and development opportunities.
• Cultivate good working relationships with internal and external partners.
• Offer excellent customer service to ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable development across the borough.
• Work as part of the team to deliver a quality service on time and within budget.
