Job summary

NFU Mutual is seeking a Regional Development Underwriter to drive growth in the North East. You will underwrite new mid-market opportunities, manage a personal caseload, and work with Agency Network to secure profitable business.

The role is home-based with travel 2–3 days per week across the North East, focusing on property and liability risks, and requires strong commercial underwriting experience and relationship skills.

Qualifications

• Property & liability commercial underwriting in mid-market space.
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships.
• Confident communicator with experience influencing discussions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow the mid-market pipeline for NFU Mutual in the North East.
• Underwrite own caseload with a whole account approach.
• Collaborate with Agency Network and Sales teams to win new business.
• Provide technical underwriting guidance and support to the network and sales force.
