Job summary

NFU Mutual’s Head Office Underwriting team is seeking a Technical Property & Casualty Underwriter to shape our underwriting strategy for Property & Casualty offerings. You will develop rules, terms and risk features to drive profit and growth while managing insurance risk in line with the strategy.

You will analyze portfolio performance, collaborate with stakeholders, translate appetite into practical processes for NFU Mutual Agents and Underwriters, and provide expert judgement on risk rates to

Qualifications

• Strong background in Property and/or Casualty underwriting.
• Experience with portfolio analysis and risk assessment.
• Ability to translate underwriting appetite into practical rules and processes.
• Effective communicator with stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine underwriting strategy for Property & Casualty offerings.
• Engage in portfolio analysis and account performance management.
• Define risk appetite and translate it into rules and processes.
• Collaborate with NFU Mutual Agents and Underwriters to enable execution.
• Review risk rates and analyse management information to improve strategy.
