Recruitment Consultant — Construction & M&E

£35,000 to £45,000 + commission and bonuses | Hampton (free parking) | Flexible working

We are growing at James Lewis Ltd and looking for a Recruitment Consultant to build out our Construction and Building Services / M&E desk. The market is wide open here: it is an open book desk with no internal competition, so you can come in, choose a sector, and own it. The plan is for you to move into a Team Lead role within two years if you deliver.

Responsibilities
  • Grow a niche market: map and own a vertical across London and the Home Counties
  • Win and develop clients: outbound calls, meetings, proposals and fee negotiation
  • Head-hunt and build talent pools: job boards, LinkedIn and referrals; qualify, interview and present shortlists that convert
  • Run end to end processes: vacancy intake to offer management; forecast pipeline, remove blockers and protect margins
  • Pitch standout talent: create demand even when roles are not live; maintain consistent, value-led contact
  • Operate with rhythm: daily plans, weekly desk reviews and clean CRM usage to keep activity and outcomes on track
About you

  • Natural relationship builder with clear, confident phone and face to face communication
  • Prior recruitment experience is helpful, but mindset and drive matter most
