Job description
Overview

We are a leading recruitment consultancy for the media industry, established over thirty years ago. We have an unrivalled reputation for the quality of our work and delivering on expectations, no matter what the market throws at us and a large and loyal candidate and client base.

We are looking to hire senior recruitment consultant for our team that focuses on recruiting for media owners, business intelligence providers and IT firms, filling commercial roles such as sales, marketing and conference production from trainee to director level. This is our longest-serving team that has exclusive relationships with some of its clients and is often given vacancies that none of our competitors have access to.

At Media Contacts we strongly value relationships and face-to-face interaction, with team members having attended business events in New York, Washington and Amsterdam in the past year as well as sponsoring and attending networking events and awards in London. We are very much global in our outlook, with recent placements made in the Caribbean, Japan, South Africa and mainland Europe.

This opportunity would be ideal for someone who loves networking, is culturally curious, sets high standards of delivery and strives to be the best in the market that they recruit for. The financial rewards can also be considerable, with our senior management team having developed some of the best recruiters in the media sector.

We operate on a meritocratic basis, enabling you to take charge of your own destiny and a combination of your own endeavour and the support of the management and your colleagues can drive you along a career path to becoming a manager or even a director of the business.

  • Establish yourself as the go-to recruiter in your sector for both candidates and clients
  • Manage the full 360 recruitment process providing best in class service
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry leaders in the UK and internationally.
  • Consistently network with clients and candidates, in-person as well as over the phone
  • Help mentor more junior team members, working collaboratively and supporting success across the wider business
  • Growing your desk and book of business, both through growth of current accounts and new business activity
  • Develop thought leadership content and advisory notes for clients

  • Confident in interviewing candidates working at C-suite and Board level positions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience of driving business growth (inc. growth in existing accounts and gaining new clients)
