Starting salary of £30,836 with the opportunity to access potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal.
Travel expenses (not including to and from the office) are paid for.
This is a FIXED TERM full time contract until the 31st March 2026.
Phoenix Futures are looking for enthusiastic, passionate, and motivated substance use professionals to join our new and innovative service aimed at improving access to drug and alcohol treatment for people who sleep rough in London.
Phoenix have over 50 years’ experience of delivering pioneering services. This provision, part of a newly commissioned Pan-London Substance Use Pathway, will combine our considerable expertise in substance use and homelessness. The team will work with people who sleep rough across the capital to identify and address barriers to treatment access, engaging constructively and collaboratively with other agencies and facilitating pathways into services.
This is a hybrid role involving work from home and outreach work meeting users of service face to face, conducting assessments of needs and risks, providing advocacy support and facilitating referrals into statutory services for substance use treatment.The role forms part of a small team delivering a high-quality, outcomes-focused service that improves the experience, quality of life, and life expectancy of people who sleep rough and use substances in London. Successful candidates will have an opportunity to help shape the service and leave a legacy. There are regular team meetings where you will engage with your colleagues for support and direction, as well as a great deal of independent case management of service users on your caseload.
Lone working protocols are fully embedded in your day to day work, to ensure staff and user of services safety at all times in the community.
Multi agency working is key to this role ensuring that you support our service users to access the correct support, and raise any safeguarding concerns to the correct team in the relevant borough.
The successful candidate will be required to work effectively with teams across London and proven ability to work collaboratively is a must, as is an ability to travel to sites across the capital (travel expenses will be paid).
