Job Title: Senior Front of House Receptionist / Administrator – Private Fertility Clinic

Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

Salary: £24,000 – £27,000 (dependent on healthcare experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm or 9:00am–5:30pm (rota-based)

Some Saturday/Sunday mornings required – time off in lieu provided

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and personable Senior Medical Receptionist / Administrator to join a prestigious private fertility clinic in Borehamwood. Working closely with the Reception Manager, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a professional, caring, and efficient experience from their initial consultation through to the completion of their treatment journey. This is a busy and rewarding role, requiring a proactive and organised individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming patients and visitors in person, via phone, and email
  • Booking and managing appointments and clinic schedules
  • Patient registration and managing confidential records
  • Handling enquiries with warmth, empathy, and professionalism
  • Processing payments and entering data into accounts/healthcare packages
  • Supporting the administrative needs of the clinic and management
  • Ensuring each patient receives exceptional service throughout their journey

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Medical Receptionist or Administrator, ideally in private healthcare or a GP surgery
  • Familiarity with healthcare or accounting software systems
  • Financial acumen or experience managing payments/accounts
  • Strong IT and administrative skills, with attention to detail
  • Highly articulate, organised, and compassionate
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • A car driver is preferred due to the clinic’s location
