A local healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Receptionist to deliver comprehensive administrative support. You will be the first point of contact for patients and ensure efficient communication. The ideal candidate has reception experience, customer service qualifications, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. As a senior receptionist/administration support, you will provide comprehensive, professional, and effective receptionist/administrative support to our Counselling and Support Services.
You will be there to offer a welcoming, efficient service and be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and clients. You will be required to apply a high degree of confidentiality to all your work, whilst ensuring clear communication with all services, teams, and colleagues. You will communicate with patients and their relatives face-to-face, via telephone, and email, keeping accurate records of your interactions while remaining professional and empathetic. You will oversee deliveries and be responsible for ensuring all parcel transactions are recorded correctly.
You should have previous reception experience, preferably in a health or social care setting, and experience dealing with the public. A qualification in customer service or equivalent is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages is necessary. You should be able to prioritize workloads, possess excellent organizational skills, and work well as part of a team. Additionally, the ability to work independently, use your initiative, maintain balanced judgment, and remain calm, friendly, and efficient when dealing with staff, patients, colleagues, and visitors is essential.
