We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to join
our front of house team as a Receptionist at The Arts Club.
Located in the heart of Mayfair, The Arts Club is one of London’s
oldest private members’ clubs, home to a community of members with a passion
for the creative arts, literature, and business. From distinguished art
exhibitions to fine dining, live music, and an exceptional programme of events
for members, the club remains at the heart of contemporary cultural life in
London.
About the role:
Our Reception team is the ‘voice’ of the Club, providing
excellent, warm, and friendly service to our members and their guests. Ensuring
strong member recognition at all times is crucial, and working closely with the
rest of the team to uphold current booking policies, club rules, and by-laws.
In a nutshell:
Supervise receptionists and cloakroom assistants, ensuring impeccable service and appearance standards.
Deliver exceptional guest service, resolving member concerns effectively and courteously.
Handle enquiries, reservations, and bookings via telephone, email, and at the reception desk.
Host and escort members to their reserved tables throughout the Club.
Oversee reception tasks, including briefings, shift handovers, lost property, and locker key management.
Maintain accurate members’ profiles and ensure seamless communication with all departments.
Stay informed about Club events, exhibitions, and programmes to assist members and maximise booking opportunities.
Adhere to and enforce Club policies, including health and safety regulations, grooming standards, and employment practices.
Mentor and develop team members through training, coaching, and support.
Requirements:
Proven experience in high-volume restaurants or private members’ clubs.
Proficiency in systems like SevenRooms/OpenTable and Salesforce/Dynamics.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of the local area is an advantage.
Experince managing junior staff is preffered
