Job summary

Raytheon Technologies' RTX division in the UK is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for ATMS. You will design, develop and test real-time embedded software to support global customers, within an Agile ecosystem and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes C/C++/C#, RTOS, and hands-on fault investigation in embedded environments, with opportunities to contribute to next-gen ATMS systems and internal R&D projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, team-based software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++/C# for real‑time embedded systems.
• Experience with UML and software design methodologies.
• Real‑time embedded software programming experience.
• RTOS knowledge and low‑level protocols exposure.
• Fault investigation in embedded environments.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop product functionality, interfaces and performance improvements.
• Lead design reviews and act as SME within a diverse team.
• Analyse and resolve software defects across lifecycle.
• Validate and verify design artefacts from internal teams or vendors.
• Contribute to safety, quality, and product support documentation.
• Develop test plans ensuring Raytheon standards.
