Senior Software Engineer – Drive Digital Transformation with React Native & AWS in London!

12 month FTC to Permanent

£70,000 – £80,000

Our client is seeking a talented React Native Engineer with a passion for building scalable, cloud-native solutions on AWS. They are a dynamic London-based business embarking on an exciting digital transformation across their diverse portfolio of brands, and they are seeking passionate individuals to join their growing team at a pivotal time.

This is a hybrid role, offering flexible working with typically 1-2 days per week in our client’s vibrant London office.

The successful candidate will be joining a forward-thinking product and engineering team, delivering a mix of greenfield app development and strategic in-house rebuilds of products previously managed by external agencies. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the mobile architecture and best practices as the business brings its mobile product strategy fully in-house.

What Our Client Needs From You:

• Deep expertise in React Native development, specifically with extensive Expo experience, is crucial for building their next-generation mobile applications.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing new scalable technology within AWS, particularly leveraging services such as ECS, DynamoDB, ALB, CloudFront, CloudWatch, and Lambda to build robust and efficient backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript (both frontend and backend).
• Proven experience with React and React Native in production environments.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native backend development, with a focus on serverless architecture and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with authentication systems (ideally Azure AD B2C) and other third-party APIs.
