Job summary

Ebury is seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to evolve our mobile platform, developing features, services and frameworks for a unified customer experience. You will own the app lifecycle, ship high‑quality code, and collaborate with product, data, design and other engineers to deliver impactful features.

Based in London with hybrid work (4 days in office, 1 day remote), you will contribute to Expo pipelines, APIs and robust monitoring, while maintaining a strong focus on testing and customer

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years with React Native.
• Experience with Python3, PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar modern languages and frameworks.
• Experience working in fintech or financial services.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back‑end services.
• Proficient understanding of Git and version control.
• Knowledge of AWS, Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, networking and databases.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• React Native Mobile App Ownership: oversee the app's lifecycle — design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members, engineers, product owners, data teams, and design to deliver features.
• Own the products you build, including development and ongoing maintenance.
• Provide a great customer experience by understanding needs and addressing issues.
• Develop complex web/mobile applications using React, React Native and TypeScript; other relevant experience considered.
• Communicate ideas clearly in English with colleagues from different countries.
• Contribute to Expo pipelines for service deployment and infrastructure as needed.
• Build and manage APIs, monitoring systems, and alerting services; integrate external systems.
• Ensure code is highly testable with solid test coverage.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools and practices.
• Be comfortable being on-call.

Senior React Native Engineer

London Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home

Ebury is seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to play a crucial part in our Mobile Platform team. In this role, you will be working on evolving our mobile app by developing features, services and frameworks to empower Ebury product teams to ship amazing features efficiently and independently while maintaining a unified, usable experience for our customers.

• React Native Mobile App Ownership: Oversee the app's entire lifecycle — design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with your team members, other engineers, product owners, data teams, and design to get the job done.

• We use Expo pipelines for the deployment of services and infrastructure. From time to time, you might need to contribute to it.
• You are adept at both constructing and managing services. As such, you should have proficiency in establishing standard APIs, incorporating monitoring systems and alerting services, along with a strong expertise in integrating external systems.
• Quality is important to us; we expect your code to be highly testable with good coverage.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and practices.
• The position will require being on-call.

About you:
