Job summary

Amey Group Information Services Limited in Southern England is offering a permanent Senior Civil Engineer - Rail (STE2) role within the CEFA team. The position is hybrid, 37.5 hours per week, and involves reviewing examination reports, risk scoring, and providing technical support across bridges, walls, culverts, tunnels and related structures.

You will work with the Regional Structures Engineer and other teams to ensure reports meet NR standards and KPIs, while progressing to more senior roles

Qualifications

• Expertise in structures examinations and maintenance.
• STE2 competent – essential.
• Experience reviewing examination reports (bridges, walls, culverts, tunnels, ancillaries) with risk assessment.
• Chartered or Incorporated Civil/Structural Engineer desirable.
• Good communication and client‑focussed service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review and support examination reports to meet NR standards and KPIs.
• Assist in investigations related to structures examination activities.
• Provide technical support and advice on related incidents.
• Undertake Supervising Engineer duties for STE2 and STE4 competencies as directed.
