Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Planning Engineer/Manager for Bedford Depot. You will deliver short, medium and long-term production and overhaul planning, ensuring workload balance and resource availability.

The role supports continuous improvement through modernising practices, data integrity and efficient use of the Maintenance Management System. You will analyse information, plan components and materials, and generate senior management reports to demonstrate maintenance integrity and

Qualifications

• Experience in rolling stock maintenance involving planning systems and railway operating constraints.
• Ability to analyse information effectively with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience of productivity planning.
• Good knowledge of relevant IT systems and software (Excel, TACT, Equinox or CORMAP).

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for short, medium and long term planning working with Production, Overhaul, Central Engineering and MMS teams.
• Interrogate Maintenance Management System to ensure documents up to date and components within certification.
• Strategically plan material and resources.
• Raise data correction requests with Materials and Fleet Performance Teams.
• Liaise with all departments to ensure compliance and perform regular data audits.
• Compile regular reports for Senior Management on maintenance integrity.
• Establish, develop and monitor train examination star charts and block cards with the Maintenance Process Engineering team.
