Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting a Senior Estimator to price major rail infrastructure projects across the UK. You will develop estimates from first principles, work with engineering, operations and commercial teams, and contribute to competitive tender submissions.

The role offers UK-wide hybrid working with offices across major cities and a salary of £68,000 to £82,500 per year plus a £6,960 car allowance. Opportunity to progress toward Lead or Managing Estimator within a flexible, expanding team.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating rail infrastructure projects from first principles.
• Proven ability to prepare cost plans, tender estimates and robust submissions.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering resources, costs and delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, commercially robust cost estimates for major rail infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed estimates from first principles including labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Produce tender strategies, cost plans and risk registers with supporting information.
