Job summary

The Management Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead substantial elements of complex rail consent and DCO programmes across the UK. This role focuses on coordinating input from planning, environment, land, engineering and legal teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables from pre-application through post-consent delivery.

You will guide junior staff, manage multiple workstreams, and support senior stakeholders and regulators.

Qualifications

• Extensive project management experience in rail or major infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage consent packages and DCO programmes.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience guiding junior project managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead significant workstreams within complex rail consent and DCO programmes.
• Apply controls across programmes, risks, budgets and dependencies.
• Coordinate inputs across planning, environment, engineering and land.
• Deliver high-quality, audit-ready DCO documentation.
• Support examinations, written responses and regulator engagement.
• Discharge DCO requirements and pre-construction approvals.
• Embed consent obligations into project delivery with design/construction teams.
• Support commercial, resourcing and programme-planning decisions.
• Mentor project managers and coordinators; promote best practices.
