Job summary

The Worcester Oncology Centre within Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking two Senior Therapeutic Radiographers (band 6) to deliver radiotherapy treatment from CT localisation to verification imaging and deputise for band 7 team leaders.

You will rotate through the department, assist with cannulation and IV contrast training, and participate in out-of-hours duties while supervising students. HCPC registration and post-qualification experience are required.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification experience using current radiotherapy equipment and verification systems.
• HCPC registration is required.
• Knowledge of radiotherapy techniques and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and deliver routine and complex radiotherapy treatment prescriptions using advanced clinical skills.
• Carry out treatment localisation and verification on the CT scanner and virtual simulator.
• Undertake portal imaging or CBCT verification and analyse results.
• Ensure equipment safety within tolerances and justify deviations.
• Carry out in-vivo dosimetry and act on out-of-tolerance measurements.
• Coordinate treatment with the multidisciplinary team and supervise students.
