Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Higher Specialist Dosimetrist in Radiotherapy at the Southend site. You will be a senior member of the Radiotherapy Physics/Radiotherapy team, providing a highly specialised clinical technical service to MSEFT.

You will be responsible for horizon scanning and maintaining awareness of emerging research, technological developments, and best practice in radiotherapy treatment planning.

Qualifications

• HCPC or RCT registration is required.
• BSC, MSc in relevant science.

Responsibilities

• Plan highly complex & non-routine treatments with bespoke solutions.
• Provide expert advice in treatment planning to Clinical Oncologists.
• Attend treatment sessions or CT scanner to troubleshoot patient setup.
• Lead IR(ME)R Operator work and practitioner duties including delineation.
• Share responsibility for organisation, planning and supervision of dosimetrists.
• Drive development and implementation of oART workflows.
