Senior Radiographer – Radiotherapy

Location: London Bridge Hospital Radiotherapy at Guy’s

Type: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: 7.5 hour shifts between 08:00 and 17:30

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

We’re looking for a Senior Therapy Radiographer to join our team at London Bridge Hospital Radiotherapy at Guy’s. Located at Guy’s Hospital, this facility offers fast access to private radiotherapy services for patients in London, the City, and across Kent and the Home Counties. It is conveniently situated near London Bridge Station and provides comprehensive radiotherapy planning and treatment on one site using advanced equipment including TrueBeam linacs, Eclipse treatment planning system, GE CT scanner, and AlignRT SGRT system. The facility offers techniques such as SABR, VMAT, and breath-hold treatments.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical services across treatment and pre-treatment areas.
  • Ensure safe and accurate administration of radiotherapy treatments, including documentation, following departmental policies and procedures.
  • Operate radiotherapy equipment according to operational procedures and local rules.
  • Schedule patients and manage administration aspects of the patient pathway.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure high-quality service and efficient workflow.
  • Mentor and support training and induction of new staff and students.
  • Maintain quality assurance programs, report errors, and manage risks and audits.
  • Record and report errors and incidents as per departmental policies.
Skills & Experience:
  • BSc or DCR(T) in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent
  • HCPC registration
  • Clinical radiotherapy experience
  • Proficiency in various techniques and electronic patient management systems, especially Varian and ARIA
  • Experience in pre-treatment setting is desirable
