Overview

The Radiology Service is an integral part of the patient pathway at Moorfields and pivotal to our clinical services. The Senior Radiographer will be an active member of the Radiology Department in delivering first class care to our patients, who are referred both internally and externally to the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • As part of a multi-professional team, use a range of highly specialised radiological equipment to perform X-Rays, Computed Tomography (CT) and Dacrocystogram scans. This enables clinicians to make important decisions in the care and treatment of our patients.
  • Produce high quality X-Rays, CT and Dacrocystogram scans. Experience of working autonomously is essential.
  • Deputise for the Head of Radiology in their absence and supervise other staff within the service.
  • Act as a Radiation Protection Supervisor for the service to ensure compliance with IR(ME)R 2017.
  • undertake clerical tasks which ensures a smooth patient pathway.
