Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Radiographer to join our diagnostic imaging team. The role involves rotating between main x-ray, CT and neuro angiography, delivering high-quality imaging across inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will lead on clinical governance, supervise junior radiographers and contribute to CPD, audit and service development within a supportive, teaching-focused environment in the south coast of England.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Diagnostic Radiography with HCPC registration.
• Ability to work autonomously and supervise others.
• Strong leadership, communication and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging across CT, general radiography, trauma, fluoroscopy and neuro angiography.
• Lead and coordinate radiographic team and patient workload; act as senior on core/out-of-hours shifts.
• Supervise, mentor and teach junior radiographers, students and apprentices; contribute to CPD, audit and service development.
• Ensure safe patient care with infection prevention, radiation safety, and escalation of significant findings.
• Provide cross-site flexibility and support service continuity during peak demand and major incidents.
