Job summary

Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Radiographer to join our Radiology department. You will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging across Plain Film, CT and CBCT, while prioritising patient safety and dignity. Training and support are provided, with opportunities for professional development.

The role involves supervising students and contributing to service improvement within a multidisciplinary team. MRI experience is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography.
• HCPC registration.
• Certificate in Intravenous (IV) Cannulation.
• Essential: 1 year Band 5 experience.
• Desirable: MRI/CT experience.
• CPD - clear recent CPD.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging across Plain Film, CT and CBCT.
• Independently undertake imaging procedures and assess referrals.
• Maintain imaging quality standards and radiation protection.
• Supervise students and junior staff.
• Participate in weekend/on-call rota after training.
• Support service development and audit activities.

DCR (Diploma of the College of Radiographers)

BSc (Bachelor of Science) Degree in Diagnostic Radiography
