Job Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Senior Radiographer to join our team in the Imaging department, supporting the launch of our new CT service. This is a bank role working on an "as and when required" basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover during staff leave or absence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing high-quality service to patients and visitors.
  2. Perform general and specialised radiographic procedures within your competence, assessing patients and interpreting clinical requirements to determine appropriate techniques.
  3. Conduct imaging examinations following departmental procedures, using techniques that minimize radiation dose while ensuring diagnostic image quality.
  4. Practice radiation protection and safety, observing Local Rules and Systems of Work.
  5. Comply with IRMER and Radiation Safety Policies & Procedures.
  6. Participate in supervision, training, and peer review within your expertise.
  7. Charge for imaging services in line with guidelines and fulfill billing requirements.
  8. Adhere to departmental Radiation Policies, SOPs, and WIs.
  9. Complete mandatory training requirements.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Experience in the acute healthcare sector.
  2. Experience in customer care, including handling challenging situations.
  3. Ability to undertake I.V. contrast injections.
  4. Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
  5. HCPC registration.
  6. General radiographic training/background.
  7. Familiarity with IT systems such as RIS/PACS.
  8. Knowledge of healthcare systems and processes.
  9. Understanding of the HCPC Code of Conduct and Accountability.
  10. Knowledge of Radiation Regulations.
  11. Successful completion of an approved Cannulation course.
  12. Completion of Circle Health Group PGD training and compliance with PGD.
  13. Minimum of 2 years CT experience.
