Senior Radiographer Band 6 Vacancy – Permanent
St. Bartholomew’s Hospital

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, ambitious and motivated Rotational Senior Radiographer (Band 6) for Core Services Plain X-ray, CT and possible rotation to MRI. This Position will be based at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital which is in the heart of the City of London- St. Paul’s.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Europe’s largest specialised cardiovascular centre. The appropriate candidate will have good general radiographic experience, be resilient, flexible and able to demonstrate leadership and clinical supervision skills. The post holder will work closely with the Clinical, Radiographic and managerial teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • Up to date knowledge of general imaging techniques
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Experience of working out of hours duties
  • Cross sectional experience
  • Greater than 18 months post graduate experience

Qualifications

  • BSc Hons degree in Diagnostic imaging or equivalent
  • Health Professional Council registration

Skills

  • Skilled in keyboard and mouse operation of computerised technology
  • Able to operate VDU equipment
  • Teaching and training skills with the ability to adapt training and teaching styles in response to needs of the trainee.
  • Team player with enthusiasm for radiography, with the ability to engage staff at all levels.
  • PACS, RIS and CRS knowledge and experience
  • IT skills, with advanced levels of understanding of Microsoft office
  • Competent to perform IV injections and cannulation (or willing to undergo training).
