About the Senior Radio Systems Engineer role

This is a critical role within a high-performing R&D environment, where you will work on advanced radio systems design and signal processing technologies. The role spans software-defined radio (SDR) platforms and demands expertise in digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms and Radio Systems as well as some knowledge of Embedded Software, RF and Analogue Sensors.

You will contribute across the full product development lifecycle from initial design through to testing and integration helping deliver next-generation solutions for global surveillance and communication challenges.

The Senior Radio Systems Engineer should bring:

  • Degree-qualification (BSc / MSc) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong background in DSP algorithm development and signal processing theory
  • Commercial experience of Radio Systems design with exposure to GNSS, Smart Antennas, Beamforming and Jammers all highly beneficial
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or VHDL/Verilog for simulation and implementation
  • Understanding of real-time systems and embedded platforms

  • Design and implementation of radio communication systems with a focus on DSP algorithms
  • Development of SDR architectures for radar and comms systems
