A leading company in the fintech sector is seeking a Senior RAD Engineer for trading systems development in London. This role involves working with high-performance software solutions for the front-office teams, focusing on scalable and robust system implementation while engaging with financial markets and derivatives. Candidates should possess strong object-oriented programming skills, a good understanding of financial derivatives, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Context You will join a dynamic team that develops and maintains high-performance software solutions used primarily by front-office teams (trading, sales, structuring), while also supporting control and support functions when needed. The mission involves contributing to the design and implementation of scalable, efficient, and robust systems within a global and cross-functional environment.
Main Objectives
Contribute to the development and enhancement of software applications used in market operations
Maintain and regularly update documentation and support materials
Participate in annual performance reviews and engage in regular alignment with the team's project leader
Skills IT Required Skills:
Proficiency in object-oriented programming
Solid understanding of architectural patterns (e.g., n-tier, MVVM)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with the .NET framework, C#, WPF, Angular
Familiarity with frameworks such as Unity, Spring, Prism, or Castle
Business and Technical Exposure :
Experience in financial markets, ideally with commodities (e.g. oil, gas, power)
Solid understanding of derivatives, options pricing, Greeks, and volatility modeling
Familiarity with interest rate and curve construction concepts
Ability to support front-office users and integrate pricing tools
Soft Skills
Strong interest in global markets and financial systems
Proactive mindset and fast-learning capabilities
Excellent communication skills, both technical and business-oriented
Capacity to operate effectively in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment
Mandatory Requirements In-depth knowledge of financial derivatives and markets
Solid understanding of options pricing models and volatility smile construction
Familiarity with exotic, path-dependent options
Experience with interest rate products: curve building, bootstrapping, IRS pricing, sensitivity analysis
Background in commodities markets is a plus
